  • Mr. Robert Close - President

    Mr. Close began his career in the mining industry working with international mining companies such as the Canadian Atomic Energy Commission, Rio Tinto, International Nickel Company, and Newmont Mining Corporation on projects involving development of new properties, closure of old mines, research and development in new techniques involving drilling/boring techniques, explosive research, and use of mobile equipment.

    After a decade in the mining industry, Mr. Close entered the general construction industry in the United States where he helped build several companies and was instrumental in the successful negotiation of multi-state motel construction work for Artcraft Construction as their Senior Project Manager.

    In 1982, Mr. Close started BCP Construction, specializing in hazardous material abatement when Hazmat abatement industry was beginning to take shape. The BCP Team under the leadership of Mr. Close has been instrumental in the development of many abatement techniques and practices that are still utilized today. Over the years, BCP has grown into a multimillion dollar international general construction and engineering firm with a variety of project experiences. Mr. Close is a licensed professional engineer and obtained his degree in Engineering (Mining) from the University of Toronto and his Civil Engineering degree from Arizona State University. He has lectured to numerous groups, was certified as a training instructor for EPA certified training courses, and holds General Engineering and General Contracting Licenses in Hawaii.

  • Mr. Timothy Stephen Burke – Vice President

    For Mr. Burke success is hard to define. As Vice President of BCP Construction of Hawaii,Inc. with the audacious vision, Mr. Burke has one eye on the future, always looking for ways to continuously get better and for new opportunities that move the company forward.

    His passion for building started at an early age, while still attending High School Mr. Burke started working after hours as an apprentice carpenter for a successful framing company in Phoenix, Arizona. This is when he realized his future lied in the construction industry. Upon graduating, Mr. Burke joined the BCP Construction Team in 1986 as a project superintendent and moved to the Hawaiian Islands were he held that position for several years after which he was promoted to Director of Construction Pacific Rim Division in 1988. This position held the responsibilities for overseeing all major BCP Construction ongoing projects, mainly the high demanding & very involved Department of Defense contracts. After holding this position for several more years he was eventually promoted to Vice President, the position in which he holds to this day. Mr. Burke’s current responsibilities are inclusive of cost proposal research & development, contract drafting, editing & negotiating, overseeing the technical division of BCP and running the day to day operations.

    In addition to his many accomplishments with BCP Construction, Mr. Burke founded & manages Maxum Construction of Hawaii, LLC. a well established and extremely successful   interior finish contractor specializing in all types of hard wood flooring, ceramic tile & terrazzo flooring systems, gypsum wall board assemblies, custom interior & exterior coating systems, high end custom cabinetry fabrication and installation. Mr. Burke also co-founded Titan Industries, LLC. a State of Hawaii licensed C-19 Hazardous material Abatement contractor recognized by the Untied States Government Environmental Protection Agency (USG-EPA) as a leader in that industry

  • Mr. Kevin Close – Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

    Mr. Kevin Close has 35+ years in the construction industry.  He has worked in the field, the back office and the front office.  Mr. Kevin Close is in charge of all bonding, banking and insurance requirements serving as the liaison between operations and accounting.  With his experience in the field and his business acumen he is invaluable in the day-to-day operation of BCP. Mr. Close is also a key part of the estimating team and holds a KB-01 General Contracting License Commercial/Residential in Arizona.

    Mr. Baxter has been with BCP Construction since 1993 and has been an integral part of the growth and success of BCP Construction.  With 23 years in the industry he currently implements, manages and executes BCP Construction’s contracts with various State, Federal, Government agencies and Private Organizations; ensuring that budgets are met, timelines are adhered to, and all the proper permits and licenses are in place.  Additionally Mr. Baxter manages all the BCP sub-contracting partners and suppliers, including review of their architectural and engineering drawings, as well as their job performance.

  • Mr. George Baxter - Vice President of Construction

    Mr. Baxter has been with BCP Construction since 1993 and has been an integral part of the growth and success of BCP Construction.  With 23 years in the industry he currently implements, manages and executes BCP Construction’s contracts with various State, Federal, Government agencies and Private Organizations; ensuring that budgets are met, timelines are adhered to, and all the proper permits and licenses are in place.  Additionally Mr. Baxter manages all the BCP sub-contracting partners and suppliers, including review of their architectural and engineering drawings, as well as their job performance.

  • Mr. Darren Hughes - Director of Construction

    Mr. Hughes has been with the BCP team since its inception.  Today Mr. Hughes oversees the day-to-day construction operations in the field with well over 25+ years in the construction industry his knowledge of site civil water distribution & sanitary sewer systems is second to none, there is no one who possesses a greater understanding of what it takes to turn a project in on time, under budget, and meeting the BCP Construction standard of excellence and professionalism.

  • Mr. Gregory A. Mann – Senior Project Manager

    Mr. Mann began his career in the residential field as a journeyman plumber/pipefitter and was tapped to oversee and schedule large crews to complete a variety of residential projects ranging from large custom homes, multifamily dwellings including low-rise apartments, multi-unit condominiums as well as estimating several large projects of similar type.  Mr. Mann has maintained a passion and quality of excellence in job performance for over 34 years in the construction industry. For the past 21 years he’s served as superintendent of construction on various commercial, industrial, and government projects for clients such as the United States Coast Guard, Navy, Army Corps of Engineers, Air Force, National Park Service and the Hawaii Army National Guard. Projects completed for these clients have included large scale bachelors’ quarters, hospitals, fire crash rescue stations, industrial, national security and medical research facilities.  With his comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of construction he serves as an excellent Senior Project Manager; ensuring projects are finished safely, on time and within budget.

  • Mr. Dustin Gallegos – Quality Control Manager (CQCSM)

    Mr. Gallegos has been formally trained by the United States Army Corps of Engineers in construction quality control management. After attending The University of Colorado, Boulder where Mr. Gallegos received his bachelor’s degrees in integrated physiology and pre-med, he then decided to carry on the family tradition and entered the construction trades. As Quality Control Manager, Mr. Gallegos is responsible for planning a smooth and efficient construction process, following contract plans and specifications to produce a quality product safely, on time and within budget. The quality control management program is assurance to the client/ owner, that there will be efficient production, a flow of communication, well thought out planning, an organized system and outstanding performance evaluations.
